The fifth and final USL W League 2024 regular season award was announced on Thursday. Paisley Athletic FC’s Abby Droner was named Young Player of the Year after her performance helped the team earn its first winning record in the W League.
The 17-year-old scored 12 goals this season, tying for second most in the league. Droner recorded braces in two matches and a hat trick in the team’s 7-0 win over Westchester Flames. She also added one assist to her stats for the season.
Droner started all 10 matches played, totaling 861 minutes on the field. The forward contributed to Paisley Athletic’s third-place finish in the Metropolitan Division with a record of 6-4-2.
